ScrollaNote is an iPad app designed for, and targeted, towards small medical practices that are still recording patient visit notes using paper templates.
The typical, small medical practice still records notes using expensive paper templates, that are purchased in volume, from a paper template vendor. After recording a note, the filled-in paper template is then scanned into a PDF file, and stored on the practice's office computer.
ScrollaNote was designed to replace the paper template and allow the practice to record the note on the iPad, and then export the rendered PDF note file to the practice's office computer.
ScrollaNote requires no back-end server. All data is stored locally on the device, in a SQL Lite database file. Although, if the app purchaser desired to modify the app to integrate with a back-end server, it should not be too difficult since the app was designed with a well-defined data layer interface.
The ScrollaNote app was designed to be modular, in that, support for additional types of templates can be provided. The latest version supports templates to handle patient visits where the chief complaint is Headache, Chest Pain, Abdominal Pain, Nausea, and a generic all-purpose template. In addition, SOAP note templates are supported.
If you are a company attempting to get into the medical app mobile space, ScrollaNote could be a great start.
I am selling ScrollaNote primarily because, being a software developer, and not someone in the medical profession, I do not have the domain expertise required to add the desired new features. I was able to corraborate with doctors on the first few versions, but those doctors have moved onto new projects in their profession, and I have a desire to do the same in my profession.
